Our soundproofing vinyl sheet excels as a sound barrier to reduce the transmission of sound between walls, floors, ceilings, and any other space it is installed. MLV acts as a deadening barrier, and the density and weight of the PVC soundproofing sheet combined with it’s flexibility allow it capture sound waves and reduce their inertia. Basically, our MLV stops sound in its tracks! MLV is a heavy product, but is easy to use. Our product is extremely resistant to tearing or ripping, but can still be cut by a utility knife. To install, simply measure your space, cut the MLV, and fasten to your surface. Mass Loaded Vinyl works best mounted directly to studs or joists, but can also work great when installed over existing drywall. It is important to use a sealant to fill any gaps or seams, to create the most effective soundproofing option.
